So let me get this straight:
Lance Armstrong, Pre-Steroids: 0 Tour De Frances, Nut Cancer, Zero Dollars, Never Fucked Sheryl Crow
Lance Armstrong, With Steroids: 7 Tour De Frances, Cancer Free, $100 Million Dollars, Fucked Sheryl Crow
Yeah, I can't believe he cheated either.
Why are steroids bad again? You know that term, "miracle drug"? Wasn't that supposed to be like, a positive thing? Cause this shit appears to be a miracle drug, and it's doing miracle-ey things...depending on how you feel about a hundred million dollars and Shery Crow's vagina.
Yes, I know, if you abuse steroids, you put your health at risk. I can say the same thing about McDonalds, alcohol, cigarettes, living in Detroit, watching Alex Smith play quarterback...
But none of those things turn you into fucking Superman. So maybe a few side effects aren't the worst thing in the world. At the very least, perhaps we should put a few scientists on this thing and see if there might be some good here.
Also, read this story.

He rode a bicycle really fast.
Who the fuck cares?
You just make me so happy. That is all.
My friend and I had a long debate after Armstrong was stripped of all his titles.
He said that since everyone on else competing in the Tour De France was doping, Lance hadn't done anything wrong. He had to do as much simply to compete.
I said that no matter what the culture surrounding the race was, what he did was inheritantly wrong.
Neither of us could make any headway in convincing the other they were wrong.
"At 16, Armstrong began competing as a triathlete and became a national sprint-course triathlon champion in 1989 and 1990. In 1992, Armstrong began his career as a professional cyclist with the Motorola team. He had notable success between 1993 and 1996, including the 1993 World Championship, Clásica de San Sebastián in 1995, an overall victory in the penultimate Tour DuPont and a handful of stage victories in Europe, including the stage to Limoges in the Tour de France"... My guess is that he began taking steroids back then, and that's what caused his cancer.
i recognize that as an interesting theory, zorro, i just don't believe it.
andrew, i'm not a fan of lance at all. and what he did was wrong, but i really don't care about anyone cheating in that stupid race. clearly, you need to cheat just to compete, but that doesn't excuse it.
but i think what was was the most wrong about what lance did isn't him doping. this wasn't just one guy taking steroids, a la barry bonds, this was a big, organized thing that he was the head of. he intimidated people, fucked with their lives, and was a complete, lying asshole.
Totally agree with your last statement, Hack, just another ego maniac.
Why can't they be more like Stan Musial ... humble, scandal free, and ready to play every day (without enhancements). The complete role model for our kids.
